Host India's First Master of Wine – Expressions of Interest Open

Wine Marlborough has an exciting opportunity for member wineries to host Sonal C Holland MW, India's first and only Master of Wine, during her visit to Marlborough ahead of the New Zealand Wine 2026 Wine Business Forum.

Sonal is one of India's most influential wine communicators, educators, and industry leaders. With nearly two million social media followers and more than 20 years of experience, she has played a significant role in developing India's wine culture and market.

Sonal will spend two nights in Marlborough, allowing one full day for winery visits on Tuesday 25 August. We are seeking three hosted experiences that showcase our unique Marlborough region and our world-class wines. Collaborative proposals from multiple wineries are encouraged but please note, at Sonal's request, we are looking for a relaxed itinerary that allows plenty of time for meaningful conversations with hosts. Wineries able to contribute accommodation are also encouraged, helping ensure Sonal has a memorable experience in our wine region.

There is no cost to host Sonal, however hosts will be expected to cover all associated hospitality costs. Please note that Sonal may be accompanied by a host during her visit and while Sonal contributes to several publications, media coverage cannot be expected as this is a hosted visit rather than a media programme.
